Please do not use plastic bags for your recyclables.
Place all recyclable items in the same container. No separation is necessary.
Containers may not exceed 49 lbs.
Electronics. ACUA does not accept electronics. State law prohibits electronics from being disposed of as trash. Electronics must be dropped off to the Brigantine Public Works Yard located at 3605 Bayshore Ave. Contact public works, at (609) 266-7800, if you have questions about the collection program.
Latex Paint. Latex paint is not hazardous waste and dried paint can be disposed of in the trash. Go to acua.com/paint for more information.
Large/Rigid Plastics. Other plastic items (toys, chairs, PVC pipe, VHS tapes, buckets) are recyclable at no charge through the ACUA’s large/rigid plastic drop-off. Go to acua.com/rigidplastics for more information.
Bulky Waste. Two items per trash day including furniture and carpeting (rolled up, tied and cut into 4’ lengths) . No construction
waste, TVs or electronics.
Batteries. Alkaline batteries can be disposed of in the trash, as they no longer contain mercury. Rechargeable batteries can be disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off at ACUA. Go to acua.com/hhw for more information.

Yard Waste Collection Guidelines
Yard Waste (leaves, brush, grass, clean wood) Must be placed in kraft bags or properly marked containers. Plastic bags are not permitted. Brush/branches must be tied with twine & should not exceed 4’ in length or 8” in diameter. Bags or containers should not exceed 49 lbs. Collection begins 4/9/14 ends 10/10/14 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
